Marius Grobbelaar

Director (CCAM)

Marius brings extensive legal and financial services industry experience to the team. During his career, Marius has held executive positions as Managing Partner of a legal firm, CEO of a financial services business within a publicly listed company, and various executive directorships in real estate lending and financial services. 

Marius has been active in real estate finance in Australia since 2004, and has been a Director and Responsible Manager of Australian Financial Services licensees since 2006. Marius is currently a Responsible Manager of several Australian Financial Services licensees, specialising in mortgage investments and direct property investment.

  • BProc and LLB.
  • Master of Business Administration (with Distinction).
  • Cert III in Mortgage Lending.

Peter Chan

Managing Partner (Crest Capital Asia)

Peter started his private equity career in 1987 with one of the earliest US private equity firms in Asia. In 1996, he joined a division of ING Barings Asia Private Equity as Managing Director and started its investment programme in Asia, setting up offices in Singapore, Indonesia, India, China, Taiwan, and South Korea. 

Founding Crest Capital Asia in 2004, Peter is responsible for the general management of the funds under management, conceptualising and innovating new fund strategies, as well as investor communication. Peter is also a Board Member of Clarity, a not-for-profit organisation providing healing and support for people with mental conditions to help them regain confidence as they discover their abilities and the beauty of life.

Katherine Ang

Chief Operating Officer (Crest Capital Asia)

Katherine started her career with Deloittes Singapore, where she gained experience in the external audits of multinationals and Singapore-listed companies. She was also a Senior Accountant in a Singapore-listed company, responsible for preparing and reviewing of consolidation results for operations in the United Kingdom.

Today, Katherine manages Crest Capital Asia’s resources and Investment Team in new transaction processing, as well as portfolio monitoring. She also supervises transactional and portfolio management activities to ensure ongoing compliance to the firm’s standard operating procedures.
